My Cafe-Hopping Experience at the Best Cafes in Pasir Ris

Having lived in Pasir Ris for some time, I’ve had my fair share of cafe-hopping adventures. I can safely say this neighbourhood has some real gems!

Over the years, I’ve found everything from cosy nooks to dessert spots, each one offering an ambience and menu for my every mood. Here’s a list of my favourite Pasir Ris cafes for good vibes, great coffee, and solid eats.

Must-try: Chicken and waffles

For a fuss-free yet satisfying meal without breaking the bank, I usually go to The Tree Cafe at E!Hub. I appreciate its no-service-charge policy and affordable comfort food for those days I need to have a casual brunch.

My go-to order here is the chicken and waffles for the crunch and sweet-savoury combo. The cosy, laid-back space complements the simple but satisfying menu, too.

Pro tip: Try the iced matcha latte during the hot summer months for a refreshing caffeine fix.

Ya Kun Kaya Toast

Hours: Daily, 8 AM–9 PM

Must-try: Toast Set A

Kaya toast and kopi sets may be a dime a dozen in the Lion City, but I reckon Ya Kun Kaya Toast is worth a visit if you want to experience classic Singaporean breakfast done right. Its frills-free setup makes it a good place for a morning or midday pickup, too.

Start the day with crispy kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs, and a strong kopi. If you’re new here, I recommend the Toast Set A for a great balance of sweet, savoury, and comforting.

Pro tip: The shop accepts cash, NETS, and other e-payment options.

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

Hours: Open 24 hours

Must-try: Tuna milk bread

For both productive and casual hangouts, I can always rely on The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for its cosy ambience and free WiFi. Lots of people I know often go here for either a cup of coffee or a light bite.

As for me, I’m nuts over its tuna milk bread. It’s equal parts soft, savoury, and creamy and great with a cup of hot vanilla latte.

Pro tip: There are power outlets at this branch, but working patrons might limit availability.

Kazo Café

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM

Must-try: Valrhona hazelnut tarts

Kazo Café’s handmade bakes, including airy cream puffs and golden polo buns, have made me a fan. When I crave fresh and buttery pastries, I make a beeline for this shop.

If you love rich, nutty flavours, try Kazo’s Valrhona hazelnut tarts. They’re decadently chocolatey, with just the right amount of indulgence.

Pro tip: Also try Kazo’s signature Hojicha latte for its nutty, roasted balance.

Paris Baguette

Hours: Daily, 8 AM–10 PM

Must-try: Pizza buns

Shopping can be hunger and thirst-inducing, so I’m happy that Paris Baguette is inside White Sands Mall in Pasir Ris. The warm, buttery aroma of freshly baked pastries and fresh coffee hits me as soon as I walk in.

Aside from the pretty cakes, I always have the pizza buns here. They’re savoury, pillowy soft, and cheesy with a superb mouthfeel.

Pro tip: The iced Americano will hit the spot if you need more fuel for retail therapy.

Ground Floor Coffee

Website
Address: 430 East Village Mall, 01-53
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 11 AM – 6 PM
Price: $
Must-try: Spanish white latte

Ground Floor Coffee is a hidden gem that could remain hidden if you hadn’t known about it in the first place (it’s a hole-in-the-wall type).

But its Spanish white latte is worth stopping for—served hot, creamy, and smooth for those who like their brew sweet and with a mild caffeine kick.

I keep coming back to this humble place to figure out the secret spice they put in the coffee!

Pro tip: Watch out for seasonal crafted drinks like strawberry matcha latte and orange zest mocha that appear and disappear on the menu all of a sudden!

Kopifellas Cafe

Website
Address: Pasir Ris Mall, 7 Pasir Ris Central, #02-59
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Daily, 8 AM–9 PM
Price: $
Must-try: Butter sugar toast set

I’m a fan of the simple but satisfying butter sugar toast set at Kopifellas Cafe. The staff even thoughtfully cracks the soft-boiled eggs for me unlike most places serving this type of breakfast (hey, a little pampering goes a long way!).

When I’m craving something heartier, the cafe’s Indomie cutlet chicken hits the spot with its crisp yet tender pieces. It’s a great place for shopping families to relax, as there’s a nearby playground for little ones.

Pro tip: Seating can be somewhat cramped for bigger groups, so try to get there as early as you can.
