The Cat Cafe has two convenient locations in Bugis and Rail Mall, and it’s a paradise for feline lovers like me. The environment is so relaxing.

What I love most is that all the resident cats are either adopted or re-homed strays. It feels great knowing these kitties have a safe environment, and visitors like me get the chance to interact with them and even consider adoption.

Besides spending time with the cats, I enjoyed some delicious snacks and beverages. The menu is fantastic, offering items like chicken mushroom pie, chicken wrap, affogato, and brownie with ice cream, satisfying every craving I had.

Pro tip: Their Rail Mail outlet is wheelchair friendly, perfect for those who want to accompany elderly family members.

Meomi Cat Cafe

Meomi Cat Cafe is one of Singapore’s first cat cafes, and it has been around since 2014. It’s conveniently located just a few minutes from Bugis MRT and is home to some rare breeds like American Shorthairs, Maine Coons, and Munchkins.

For an entry price of $14 for an adult, I got to spend an hour with the resident cats and enjoyed a complimentary drink. 

The owners were very helpful, sharing tips on how to interact with the cats. They also have cat-themed merchandise for sale, and part of the proceeds goes to support the Cat Welfare Society.

Pro tip: Give them a call beforehand to find out the cats’ feeding times. If you visit during those hours, you get to participate in feeding the cats.

Nekotown Cat Cafe

Nekotown Cat Cafe is located right in the heart of the city, and it’s one of the most budget-friendly cat cafes here. The entry price is just $9 per person on weekdays and $12 on weekends and public holidays.

The cafe welcomes younger children as long as they’re at least 4 years old and accompanied by an adult. Each entry includes unlimited drinks, which is a great deal.

The cafe provides cat toys to help visitors connect with the adorable resident cats. For just an additional $1, I could buy a packet of wet food to further engage with the cats.

Pro tip: Appointments are not required, but visitors are encouraged to make a reservation, especially during public holidays and weekends. 

Pat-A-Cat

Pat-A-Cat, one of the newer cat cafes in Singapore, impressed me with its deep commitment to cat welfare. 

I had the chance to play and cuddle with cats rescued from the streets. If you fall in love with one of these furry friends during your visit, you even have the option to adopt.

The entry fee is just $15 per hour and includes one free drink, with each additional hour costing $5. 

Pro tip: A $40 full-day pass is available for extended cat therapy. 

Gem Cat Cafe

Gem Cat Cafe is quickly becoming one of Singapore’s top spots for cat lovers, thanks to its adorable British shorthair cats. The entry fee is $15 for one hour or $25 for two hours, and it includes a free scoop of gelato.

The British shorthair cats are incredibly playful, curious, and interactive. I even got to pick them up for cuddles, following the proper handling techniques demonstrated by the staff.

After enjoying some quality time with the cats, I relaxed in the front section of the cafe with a cold drink and a snack. The menu has a variety of options like toasted sandwiches, regular coffees, fruit teas, and sodas.

Pro tip: They offer comprehensive customer support services, which include cat ownership education. 

Catopia

Catopia is a haven for cat lovers, tucked into a two-story shophouse with ten resident cats of various breeds. I learned during my visit that they wisely limit the number of visitors per hour to ensure a safe and pleasant experience. 

The entry fee is $15 for 1.5 hours on weekdays and $15 for 1 hour on weekends and holidays, which includes a standard drink. Kids aged 7 and up are welcome as long as they’re accompanied by an adult.

Visitors need to wear socks upon entry, and if you forget, you can easily buy a pair inside the cafe. I appreciate this thoughtful detail!

Pro tip: Catopia allows a 5–10 minute grace period for reservations. To avoid losing your spot, make sure to arrive on time. 

Cat Paradise

Cat Paradise, is a unique spot that combines a cat cafe with an adoption center. I got to interact with over ten friendly cats in a cage-free environment!

The cafe is designed to help potential fur parents bond with kittens and possibly adopt them. Visitors can buy cat treats, and the proceeds support the care and veterinary costs of the cats.

The entry fee is $18 per person for the first hour, and there are day passes available for $40. There’s no minimum age requirement, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Pro tip: Save more by visiting Cat Paradise on weekdays. Enjoy a lower rate of $6 for each additional half-hour after the first hour, unlike the $8 charged on weekends and public holidays.

SGCatHouse is nestled in Paya Lebar and heralded as one of the freshest additions to Singapore’s burgeoning cat cafe culture. 

The cafe houses breeds such as American and British shorthairs, Russian blues, ragdolls, and Maine coons, each showcasing distinct personalities.

Another thing that stood out to me was the staff who shared insights into their backgrounds and quirks.

You can enjoy the cafe for just $9 per hour, $15 for two hours, or opt for a day pass at $28, which includes free-flow canned drinks. The environment is cozy and clean, ensuring the cats are healthy and happy during your visit.

Pro tip: Planning a trip and need a place for your furkids? They double as a cat hotel, offering a comfortable staycation for your pets while you’re away.

Meownistry of Meow

Meownistry of Meow is a unique coworking space with the calming and comforting presence of adorable felines. 

The entry starts at just $10 per hour, with a minimum age requirement of ten years old. It’s designed to cater to both work and leisure, offering a comfortable workspace equipped with high-speed Internet and free-flowing drinks.

I was delighted to learn that many of the cats there were available for adoption. Visitors may leave with a new furry friend!

Pro tip: If you’re seeking more leisure activities after a relaxing interaction with the felines, private rooms are available for karaoke and playing console games. 

The Cat Museum

The Cat Museum is a three-story shophouse that goes beyond the typical cat cafe experience. It is a blend of feline interaction with cultural enrichment, featuring a fascinating collection of cat-themed sculptures, paintings, and historical exhibits.

On the first floor, I enjoyed curated cat photos and artwork sourced from around the globe. Moving up to the second floor, I was surrounded by cats and kittens available for adoption. 

The top floor has a display of unique cat furniture and innovative furnishing ideas. The $20 entry fee for an hour helps cover the cats’ care and expenses, making it a meaningful visit for cat enthusiasts and art and culture lovers alike.  

Pro tip: The museum requires a reservation, so make sure to book before your visit.
