The Best Churros in Singapore That Put Me in a Sugar-Induced Coma
I take my quest for the best churros seriously. If it doesn’t meet my standards for balanced crispiness and fluffiness, it won’t make the list.
So after countless tastes (and a few sugar-induced comas), I’ve rounded up the absolute best spots serving up golden, deep fried perfection. I went from classic Spanish style to stuffed and chocolate-drenched, and here’s what I liked!
The Great Mischief

I love going to the National Gallery for art and culture…and churros. No kidding; The Great Mischief serves churros that are crisp, golden, and liberally dusted with cinnamon sugar.
Paired with a rich chocolate dip, it’s a delicious way to end a gallery tour with something sweet and satisfying. It’s also a great dessert after a full, hearty, Catalan-inspired meal.
Pro tip: Pair your churros order with some iced Spanish latte for a cold, smooth complement to the sugary bites.
La Taperia

Even though it’s expensive, I think La Taperia does churros the way they should be. Coated with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar, each bite gives a satisfying crunch that gives way to the squidginess beneath.
The thick velvety chocolate sauce is so good that it’s hard for me not to wipe the dish clean with my fingers. Knowing that the place is part of the sophisticated Les Amis Group, though, I know I should act like a decent person around these churros.
Pro tip: Their seafood paella’s rich, savoury flavours can be balanced out with an order of churros for dessert.
Churros Republic

Knowing that it’s Singapore’s lone Michelin-preferred churros, you’re biting into something special at Churros Republic. It uses a traditional Spanish recipe that results in a balance of fluff and crunch with every bite.
There’s a good variety to choose from if you want to veer away from the classic or chocolate-drizzled versions (I went nuts over the Twixx-inspired one). Each order is freshly made, too!
Pro tip: For mix-and-match flavours, you can grab a Churros Republic party box.
Chulop! by the Syarifs

Hours: Daily, noon–8 PM

I consider Chulop!’s churros innovative for offering both classic and local twists. It’s the only spot where I’ve had pandan-infused churros coated in desiccated coconut instead of cinnamon sugar (and dipped into rich gula melaka)!
For the churros purists, there’s still the classic cinnamon-dusted kind here, too. Either way, it’s an adventurous way to have this confection.
Pro tip: The shop also sells thick milkshakes to help wash your churros down.
My Little Spanish Place

Contact: +6564632810
Hours:
- Tuesday to Friday, 6.30–10.30 PM
- Saturday to Sunday, noon to 3 PM, 6.30–10.30 PM
My Little Spanish Place is my cosy slice of Spain, thanks to its mouth-watering tapas and churros con chocolate prepared the traditional way. They are freshly fried until golden, then served with both rich chocolate and ice cream!
The contrast of the warm and crunchy churros against the frozen and cream dessert is heaven on the palate. It’s a great sweet treat for hot summer days.
Pro tip: A serving of churros here doesn’t come cheap at around S$15, but every bite is worth it.
Common Man Roasters

Common Man Roasters may be popular for its coffee, but its night menu churros are real gems, too. They’re crisp on the outside and pillowy inside, with a decadent chocolate sauce on the side.
The churros here strike that ideal balance of crunch and chew, making them dangerously addictive. Paired with a strong espresso, you can look forward to wide-awake nights with a satisfied belly after indulging here.
Pro tip: Common Man Roasters’ churros are typically available during special occasions, such as Christmas. Check current offerings on its website or social media before visiting.

Trust 2am:dessert bar to come up with perfectly fried Spanish doughnuts accompanied by a sinful churros chocolate dipping pot filled with both dark chocolate and salted caramel. Phew!
The churros at this place are offered as “bites,” with eight cinnamon sugar-dusted pieces and options for whisky hot chocolate, hot chocolate, and ice cream or sorbets to pair them with. It’s pure indulgence that’s worth every calorie.
Pro tip: You can have your churros delivered via GrabFood, FoodPanda, or Deliveroo if you don’t feel like dressing up for your dessert fix.

I like how the churros at Super Loco Robertson Quay are delivered with a decidedly Mexican kick. They’re golden, crispy, and great for dunking into rich, spiced chocolate which my inner chilihead appreciated.
The hint of warmth from the cinnamon and chilli-infused dip gives an irresistible mix of sweat and heat. Pair them with a frozen margarita and you’ll be having a fiesta on your tongue and in your tummy.
Pro tip: Can’t handle the heat? There are also churros served here with a coconut dulce de leche sauce instead.

My friends and I like going to Chimichanga Holland Village for the lively vibe and its menu of authentic Mexican desserts. Of course, churros are at the top of our list here when it comes to indulging our sweet tooth.
They’re coated with just enough cinnamon sugar so each bite isn’t cloying. The chocolate dip is the right consistency, too—not so runny or thick that you’ll have a hard time getting it to stick to the churro.
Pro tip: Pair your churros with some Neon Donkey Craft Beer with its crisp, balanced flavour to offset the sweetness.
Vino Tinto

The churros at Vino Tinto are all about indulgence with their choux pastry base of eggs, flour, sugar, and French butter. They’re both fried and baked to eliminate excess oil, resulting in a lighter, crispier treat.
I’ve brought some leftover churros home and was pleasantly surprised to find them still crunchy and non-greasy when I had them later. They’re pricey at S$16 for half a dozen pieces, but I still think this place is worth a visit for churro aficionados.
Pro tip: The churros come with a warm chocolate sauce and vanilla pastry cream, so dunk away!
Carlitos Casa de Comidas

I got lucky on my birthday lunch last year at this Spanish restaurant when they surprised me with free churros, and they were so good I had to come back just to order them again.
The aerated chocolate foam that came with the churros at Carlitos Casa de Comidas was a game-changer: light, airy, and a fun twist from the usual thick chocolate sauce. It’s quite the revelation!
Pro tip: If you prefer it served the classic way, there’s also a generous cup of Valrhona chocolate which is as indulgent.

If you love variety like I do, go for Twist & Buckle’s Churros Party Box which comes with seven mini churros, each with a different flavour. The shop also offers churros combos with soft-serve ice cream and sundaes.
I appreciated how, even after cooling, the churros stayed crispy outside and soft inside (not the other way around, unlike others!), with just a hint of salt to balance the sweetness. The texture is spot-on, delivering a good crunch-to-chew ratio per bite.
Pro tip: The churros are made to order and individually glazed, so expect a bit of a wait.
