East Coast Park

Hours: Open 24 hours
Price: Free entry
East Coast Park is the place to be for long, leash-free walks with my dog along the coast. The 15 km stretch gives us space to move without the usual city crowding and chaos.
There are grassy picnic areas where he can rest while I grab a bite nearby. Plus, there are clean restrooms and plenty of water points to make the whole outing fuss-free (and hygienic!).
Pro-tip: Take your dog to this park early in the morning between 7 and 9 AM, or in the late afternoon between 5 and 7 PM when the ground is cooler for your pet’s paws.

Hours: Daily, 7 AM–7 PM
Price: Free entry
West Coast Park has one of the few proper dog runs in the west, which makes it a rare find for dog owners there. Its Grand Lawn is huge, and my dog loves the freedom to sprint without a leash for hours on end.
There’s plenty of shade, and I can always get something to eat at the nearby McDonald’s while keeping an eye on him. It’s also convenient when I need to mind my little nephews and nieces at the same time since there’s a play area in the vicinity.
Pro-tip: The park has several sheltered pavilions where you can take your dog if it suddenly rains.
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park

Hours: Open 24 hours

I think Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park has one of the best dog runs around, with separate zones for large and small dogs, so it’s safe for all pooches. My dog gets a solid exercise, and I don’t have to stress about bigger and rowdier dogs harassing him.
The walking trails are shaded and scenic, which is great for cooling down after playtime. Plus, there are pet-friendly cafes like Canopy just outside the park when we need to refuel with food and drinks.
Pro-tip: Clean up after your dog! There’s a fine of up to S$1,000 under the Environmental Public Health Act if you don’t pick up your pup’s poop.
Sun Ray Cafe

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM–8.30 PM
Price: $$
Sun Ray Cafe actually has a full menu for dogs! Not just treats but proper meals with real ingredients like a proper dog cafe (one of the few places where I don’t feel awkward bringing my greedy dog indoors).
My dog polished off his salmon bowl with pumpkin and brown rice faster than I could take a couple of bites of my eggs Benedict. It helps that the place is relaxed and that the staff clearly knows how to handle pets.
Pro-tip: Avoid feeding your dog directly from the table to keep things sanitary for all diners.
Open Farm Community

Hours:
- Monday to Friday, noon–3 PM, 6–11 PM
- Saturday to Sunday, 11 AM–3.30 PM, 6–11 PM

There are a few spacious gardens in Singapore where my dog can chill while I enjoy a proper meal, and Open Farm Community is one of them. Its outdoor area is open and breezy, and the dogs are genuinely welcome, not just tolerated.
The staff are used to pets and even bring water bowls without being asked. It’s a solid pick when I want something more upscale without leaving my beloved pooch behind.
Pro-tip: Vegetarian? Try the burrata with heirloom tomatoes which are fresh and great for sharing!
Little Island Brewing Co

Sometimes, I want a pint when my dog wants space. Luckily, Little Island Brewing Co. has a roomy outdoor space that’s so relaxed that even furbabies want to keep hanging out in it.
The staff provides water bowls and nobody gives you the side-eye for bringing your pet. We love going here to unwind after walking at nearby Changi Beach.
Pro-tip: For an indulgent drinking session, try the Black Magic Dry Irish Stout which has a nice roasted finish.
Capella Singapore

Hours:

Last year, my mom and I booked a staycation at Capella’s pool villa to celebrate our dog’s birthday—because, yes, he’s that spoiled. I’m glad we did despite the expense because we couldn’t have picked a better spot.
The staff went all out: balloons, a dog-friendly birthday cake, and even a custom-cooked meal of chicken and broccoli just for him. The moment we checked in, he got his own bed, bowl, and toy and basically got treated like royalty!
Pro-tip: Towels and pee pads are also available upon request.
Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

Some Singapore hotels allow dogs on their premises, but you’ll have to sacrifice comfort due to substandard amenities. This is not the case at Four Seasons Hotel, as the staff doesn’t just allow pets but welcomes them with open arms.
There are treats, bowls, and even a gourmet pet menu at my dog’s disposal. Plus, when I need to head out with my pup, the staff can happily arrange pet-sitting.
Pro-tip: The hotel is near the Botanic Gardens, so walks are sorted.
Tanjong Beach Club

Hours:
- Monday to Thursday, 10.30 AM–9.30 PM

My dog loves to run and swim, so we’re glad Tanjong Beach is available to him for both activities, leash-free. The water’s calm, plus there’s plenty of open sand for fetch sessions.
There are outdoor showers nearby which makes rinsing off sand easy. Plus, pet-friendly cafes like Tanjong Beach Club are right there when we need a break.
Pro-tip: The beach is not fenced, so dogs should be vaccinated and licensed before visiting for safety.
Palawan Beach

Another rare beach for off-leash dog running sessions is Palawan Beach. We love it here for its dedicated dog run where my furbaby gets to sprint, dig, and splash around without me constantly checking for signs or fences.
We don’t mind going here on weekends because it’s relatively spacious and less crowded compared to other beaches. It’s also close to several cafes, so I can refuel with a drink and grub while my dog rests in the shade.
Pro-tip: There are several water points in the park to help keep your dog hydrated.
Clementi Woods

Website
Address: West Coast Road
Contact: +65 1800 471 7300
Hours: Open 24 hours
Price: Free entry
When we want to avoid weekend crowds, we find ourselves heading off to Clementi Woods with its quiet, shaded dog run. I like its sloped terrain because it tires my dog out faster, and that means more quiet time for me at home!
It has a mix of open and covered areas, so we can wait out a sudden rain if needed. It’s a low-key spot that’s ideal for regular walks and off-leash time.
Pro-tip: Aggressive or dogs in heat are not allowed at the dog run.
Jurong Lake Gardens

Website
Address: Yuan Ching Rd
Contact: +65 1800 471 7300
Hours: Open 24 hours
Price: Free entry
Jurong Lake Gardens has one of the biggest dog runs in the west with plenty of grassy space and natural slopes. My dog gets a real workout here, and I don’t have to fret about overcrowding.
The amenities are nothing to scoff at, either: water points, bins, and shaded seating which makes it easy to stay longer. It’s clean, well-kept, and feels safe even for smaller dogs like my pooch.
Pro-tip: The dog run doesn’t segregate by size, so keep an eye on your pet to keep fights and aggression at bay.
