Sukiya Gyudon at AMK Hub is my top pick for a quick, hearty meal that doesn’t skimp on flavour. Its signature gyudon, featuring tender beef slices simmered in a savoury-sweet sauce over fluffy rice, starts at just S$4.90 for a medium bowl.

I also tried the beef yakiniku bowl, where the grilled beef’s smoky richness paired perfectly with the sweet and savoury yakiniku sauce. The meal costs S$6.90 for a medium serving.

Pro tip: For a little extra, add a half-boiled egg to elevate the dish with a creamy texture.
