Andaz Singapore nails the staycation experience for me (AKA never wanting to leave my room). The room is so spacious, and it even comes with a Bose wireless speaker for all my music needs.

Plus, it’s got USB ports and plugs conveniently placed by the bed and table. I can keep up with my social media while cosily tucked in.

When I did venture out, the pool on level 25, the gym on level 38, and the rooftop on level 39 were perfect spots to soak in the hotel’s surroundings.

Pro-tip: Tourists will love that the hotel is conveniently situated near Haji Lane, Kampong Glam, and other top attractions like Marina Bay Sands, Chinatown, Little India, and Gardens by the Bay.

The Warehouse Hotel

The Warehouse Hotel in Robertson Quay is a gem nestled in this lively neighbourhood which my bestie and I decided was a must-visit. True to its name, the lobby exudes warehouse vibes revamped into a chic space housing a bar, concierge, and restaurant.

The industrial interiors blend history with modern luxury, featuring high ceilings and unique views.

We opted for the River View Mezzanine for a two-level experience with a cosy reading nook and stunning Singapore River vistas—perfect for book nerds like us.

Pro-tip: The lobby lounge bar offers a cocktail program with house-made alcohol infusions and essences. Check it out!

The Capitol Kempinski Hotel

Address: Floor 2 Capitol Singapore, 15 Stamford Rd

Hours: Check-in time: 3 PM; check-out time: noon

If you’re a fan of tubs like me, you’ll love the deluxe rooms at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel. It’s one of the rare spots in Singapore with a bathtub right in the room.

And guess what? There’s a surprise TV at one end of the tub!

Despite the hotel’s cosy size, the deluxe rooms still feature a comfy sofa seating area. Trust me, those cushions are heavenly.

Plus, being in the city centre means endless breakfast options nearby.

Pro-tip: Occasionally, you might catch a faint traffic sound if you’re by the window, but overall, it’s a pleasant stay.

The Vagabond Club

Address: 39 Syed Alwi Rd

Contact: +6562916677

Hours: Check-in time: 3 PM; check-out time: noon

Price: $$$

The Vagabond Club may look unassuming from the outside, but once I stepped in, I was captivated. With its unique charm and eclectic decor, it stands out from other boutique hotels in Singapore I’ve been to.

For one thing, the lobby features a golden elephant and a bar flanked by a brass monkey and banyan tree, evoking a mysterious jungle-meets-opulent-safari vibe.

Despite its boutique size, the rooms are surprisingly spacious starting at 20 square metres. Each room exudes a wanderer spirit, adorned with exotic locale photographs and retro touches.

Pro-tip: Check out the fantastic whiskey bar here if you fancy a drink, as its collection is pretty extensive.

Capella Singapore

Address: 1 The Knolls, Sentosa Island

Hours: Check-in time: 3 PM; check-out time: noon

Price: $$$$

Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island offers a luxurious retreat perfect for special occasions like birthdays or wedding anniversaries (I find it too pricey to check in on a whim, but that’s just me).

The One Bedroom Garden Villa is a standout, with its spacious living room, private plunge pool, and lavish amenities including automatic curtains and top-of-the-line toiletries.

Little touches like a charcuterie board and lavender sachets enhanced the relaxation experience, making it a memorable stay. I honestly never wanted to leave!

Pro-tip: You can request a buggy so the staff can escort you safely to your villa or the car park.

W Singapore

Address: 21 Ocean Way

Hours: Check-in time: 3 PM; check-out time: noon

If you’re after a more laid-back vibe than a typical city hotel, I’d recommend W Singapore. It offers a sweeping marina view if you opt for the Spectacular King Room with a balcony.

I love its charming pink and grey touches that include flower-shaped lampshades. The bed is super comfy, making it hard to leave in the morning, and the overall atmosphere is wonderfully quiet.

Pro-tip: You can enjoy complimentary evening drinks at the bar from 5 to 7 PM and free breakfast in the main restaurant.

Duxton Reserve

Address: 83 Duxton Rd

Hours: Check-in time: 3 PM; check-out time: noon

I’ve always been intrigued by Duxton Reserve, as it stands out with its heritage shophouse charm and elaborate facade. Inside, the resort-like atmosphere continues with casual touches like straw blinds and rattan furniture

It’s perfect for adventurous staycationers since no room is alike.

I stayed in a seductively dark room with a giant four-poster bed—perhaps a nod to the past opium dens. It’s all so mysterious yet comfy at the same time.

Pro-tip: The hotel is right in the heart of foodie heaven, with Tanjong Pagar Road just a short stroll away.

Oasia Hotel Downtown

Address: 100 Peck Seah St

As an avid staycationer, Oasia Hotel Downtown offers the best of both worlds for me. It gives off a tropical getaway vibe with multiple swimming pools and lush greenery, coupled with luxe modern interiors and stunning city views.

I love its eco-friendly design promoting natural airflow and energy efficiency, so it’s a sustainable staycation choice. The plush bed and spacious bathtub were personal highlights, perfect for unwinding after a long day.

Pro-tip: Head to the Club Lounge on Level 21 to watch a gorgeous sunset by the pool.

Hotel Gin Bugis Singapore

Hotel G at Bugis is just the spot you’d expect in an artsy district—packed with eccentric charm and surprises. I found that its rooms blend industrial, vintage, and bohemian chic with modern amenities, creating a seriously cool vibe that’s Instagram-worthy.

Plus, it’s super central—just a 3-minute walk from Bencoolen station, with a convenience store opposite and amenities below the hotel.

Pro-tip: Grab your dental care kit, shaving kit, and more at the Level 2 reception area.

The Barracks Hotel

For a plush and luxurious staycation, check out The Barracks Hotel. We booked a spacious duplex Suite Room, perfect for up to three adults, to celebrate a work-related triumph.

The room’s interiors blend old-world charm with modern luxury, featuring rich dark wood grains and warm brass accents. It’s ideal for those craving extra living space without travelling far (which we, as cramped HDB-dwellers, appreciated).

Pro-tip: The Barracks Hotel offers all-day refreshments at The Living Room, where you can enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails.

Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa

Address: Sentosa Island, 1 Larkhill Rd

I actually woke up to peacocks on the stone pavements outside my Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa suite. How’s that for a unique staycation right smack in Singapore?

The 4-poster bed in my room was stunning, with fluffy pillows and dreamy white drapes making me feel like a Disney Princess. The room’s wooden accents and carefully chosen decor add to the ambience.

As an added convenience, there’s an instant coffee machine and a selection of Twinings tea bags for a cosy morning.

Pro-tip: Save on train and taxi fares with Amara’s private shuttle bus, whisking guests directly to the hotel lobby.

Marina Bay Sands

If you’re craving a taste of luxury, Marina Bay Sands is the ultimate staycation destination. With top-notch restaurants and luxury shopping just steps away, Marina Bay Sands offers the whole package for an atas mini-break.

Picture yourself lounging by the infinity pool, soaking up the breathtaking skyline view – tempting, right? When we were there and not enjoying the pool, it was easy to retreat to our spacious room with a balcony to soak in the city vibes.

Pro-tip: You have Universal Studios and plenty of other tourist activities within walking distance from Marina Bay Sands.
