Not to burst your bubble, but Bubble Planet Singapore closes this March 16!
As a child, I was super obsessed with bubbles, so when I heard that there would be a bubble-themed exhibition at the Singapore Expo, I was intrigued. I finally went, and I had such a blast!
Co-produced by the same people behind Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, Bubble Planet is an experience full of dazzling light projections, mind-bending illusions, and visual tricks. This exhibition made me feel like a little kid again!
Bubble Planet has visited several cities now, including Paris and Seattle, and it’s only going to stay in Singapore until March 16, 2025. So, you better mark your calendars and experience it for yourself. Here’s a guide to help you out.

What to Expect
10 Thematic and Immersive Environments
– From: bubbleplanetexperience
For me, Bubble Planet is a pastel wonderland filled with bubble-themed props and decorations. The best part about this exhibition is that it has 10 thematic environments, all laid out in a specific order so you can experience all of them within 90 minutes.
Here’s the arrangement of the different rooms and what you can expect from them.
- LED Room. This is the first room you’ll encounter, and it’s basically a whimsical underwater world. What I love about this room is that it’s interactive, so when you “touch” a fish, for example, it will actually react! The glow from the projections makes everything look ethereal.
- Bubble Ocean. This room is not for people who are scared of balloons because it really is an ocean of balloons! It’s fun to play a game here; my friends and I played hide and seek under the rubber sea.
- Giant Bubble. Pretend that giant bubbles are a thing and you can live in them—that’s the premise of this room. This spot is perfect for children and adults with an active imagination because all the bright colors will get your imagination working over time.
- Selfie Room. A quirky space equipped only with a bathtub and hundreds of rubber ducks (yes, you read that right), it’s perfect for staging the most ridiculous selfies!
- Bubble Bath. It’s a giant ball pit filled with bubble-looking balls. Diving into it is as exciting as it sounds. You’ll feel like Thumbelina in a human bathtub!
- Balloon Getaway. If you’re a big fan of the movie Up, then you’ll love Balloon Getaway. It lets you experience a simulation of a hot air balloon flight, and wow, does it feel real! It even has the gusts of wind whipping your hair.
- Infinity Room. Get your mind blown inside this room because it has continuous illusions. When I was here, I actually had a moment of existential crisis, thinking about what’s real and what isn’t!
- VR. This is only for people with VIP tickets. The VR game is set on a magical, bubbly planet. I won’t spoil it for you, but yes, it’s fun. I wondered what it would be like to live there.
- Soap Bubbles. A bubble show led by a robot—exciting, am I right? This is the room that brought me back to my childhood. Ah, the memories.
- Sketch and Post. This is the room that artistic children (and adults too) will love. Here, you can let your imagination loose and draw your most fantastic characters!
Get exclusive merch at the interactive shop
– From: bubbleplanetexperience
The last room is the Bubble Planet shop, which is stocked with all sorts of memorabilia—from apparel like caps and shirts to toys. You can also get drinks here, which I was thankful for because I was super thirsty by the end.
This shop also has a photo booth where you can customize your photos by changing the background and adding all sorts of stickers. I recommend getting at least one photo. It’s a great souvenir to remember this experience by!
Group Bookings and Private Events
– From: bubbleplanetexperience
Bubble Planet may be leaving soon, but it doesn’t mean you can’t throw a bubble-licious party. From what I know, you can book a birthday party, a custom experience for a large group, and even corporate events.
- For birthdays, you can have a private and customisable room that can accommodate at least seven people. You can bring your own food and drinks, or you can ask Bubble Planet SG to arrange the food for you. If you like the latter plan, you can send a request to groupsbb@feverup.com.
- You can also book a custom experience for a large group (25 people or more). The Bubble Planet SG team will cater to your group’s needs and preferences so that you’ll have a memorable experience.
- Planning a team-building activity or other type of corporate event? You can host it here! You’ll have your own private room, customised to suit your needs.
Visitor Tips
- Wear comfortable clothes, especially shoes. This is a walkthrough experience that lasts for at least an hour. In other words, you’ll be walking a lot, and though there are chairs available, they’re limited.
- Arrive a bit earlier than the time indicated on your ticket. While there’s no strict consequence for arriving late, you will have to wait until there’s space in the next time slot. So, to save yourself some time and energy, it’s best if you arrive early.
- Eat before coming. There’s no food stall here, so if you get hungry, you’ll be out of luck. However, there is a shop at the end of the exhibit with beverages.
