Guide to Madame Tussauds Sentosa, A Wax-Ceedingly Fun Adventure!
Madame Tussauds Sentosa is where I can rub shoulders with celebrities and not worry about being chased by paparazzi (as if!). It’s a place for film buffs, history geeks, superhero fans, K-pop idol fans, and everyone in between.
I like that it goes beyond static figures and offers immersive experiences and even a mini-boat ride! Let’s take a closer look at what else this extremely photogenic museum has to offer.

Things to Do
Go on a Spirit of Singapore boat ride
Media from daddy.xj
Location: Near the entrance, after the Images of Singapore LIVE exhibit
The Spirit of Singapore boat ride glides through miniature versions of Singapore’s landmarks like Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, and Gardens by the Bay. I love being surrounded by glowing lanterns and a bustling Chinatown scene during the ride.
It’s a short but immersive journey that brings the Lion City’s essence to life through sights, sounds, and even scents!
Pro tip: Along the way, try to spot traditional Peranakan shophouses and an F1 race car.
Have an immersive Marvel Universe 4D experience
Media from mtssingapore
Location: Near the final sections of the museum
Prepare to blow a gasket at this Madame Tussauds attraction because it combines stunning visuals and real-world effects to create an unforgettable 4D cinema experience.
We got to witness Spider-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man battle villains before our eyes, and feel the rush of wind, water, and tremors while it was happening.
The superheroes and villains leaping off the screen got me screaming a few times because it was so realistic!
Pro tip: If you’re prone to motion sickness, sit near the middle or the back of the theatre where the effects feel less intense.
Star in your own movie

Location: After the wax figure exhibits
You’re already surrounded by celebrities anyway, so why not act like one?
At the Ultimate Film Star Experience, you can audition for a movie using green screen effects. Choose your poison: see yourself star alongside Bollywood or Hollywood stars, or be in an action movie with Kung Fu masters.
Whatever role you pick, it’s your time to shine!
Pro tip: Avoid wearing green so you don’t blend into green screen effects.
Go on a live-action Singaporean time travel
Media from mtssingapore
Location: Near the main entrance
At Images of Singapore LIVE, costumed actors will guide you through key moments in Singapore’s history. You can walk through realistic sets of old kampongs, bustling markets, and wartime scenes as if the past is coming back to life.
This walkthrough experience features dramatic storytelling, special effects, and interactive moments that even the youngest visitors can appreciate.
Pro tip: Follow the actors’ cues to stay engaged and for a fully immersive experience.
Make a wax replica of your hand
Media from mtssingapore
Location: Near the exit and gift shop area
You, too, can have a Madame Tussauds wax replica…albeit on a smaller scale.
At the Wax Hand Experience, you will be asked to dip your hand into warm wax, layer by layer, to create a replica of it. Once the wax hardens, you can carefully remove your hand and watch as it transforms into a solid sculpture.
Pro tip: You can choose your pose and colours to make it a more personalised souvenir.
Embark on a Formula 1 race simulation
Media from clarkwilcian
Location: Within the sports zone area
Release your inner Schumacher in an exciting Formula 1 race simulation that puts you head-to-head with Lewis Hamilton in a high-speed VR experience. Prepare to feel the adrenaline of sharp turns and acceleration inspired by real F1 racing conditions.
You get to experience the thrill of the track without leaving Sentosa, thanks to the immersive visuals, motion effects, and realistic controls.
Pro tip: Wear closed-toe shoes for a better grip and avoid loose clothing that might interfere with the VR headset.
Step into the K-wave zone
Media from littledayout
Location: Dedicated area in the wax figure zone
Here’s your chance to pose with lifelike wax figures of BTS, Blackpink, and other K-pop stars at the K-wave zone. With its neon-lit stage setup and dynamic backdrops, you’ll feel as if you’re part of the newest K-pop music video.
Under the bright lights of the Hallyu scene, you can strike as many poses and snap as many selfies as your heart desires without being dragged away by bouncers.
Pro tip: Mimic idol poses and give all the finger hearts, V-signs, or power stances you can muster for the cam!
Walk down the red carpet like a VIP
Media from bangalorebyakshita
Location: Near the main entrance
It’s not enough to just stand around with celebrities—not when you can walk down the red carpet like one! In the Red Carpet Zone, you’ll be surrounded by A-listers like Angeline Jolie while (your own) paparazzi snap away.
It features a glitzy backdrop, flashing lights, and all the trappings of a glamorous red carpet walk. So go ahead and own the spotlight and steal the show in this zone.
Pro tip: Keep your poses snappy, around 10 to 15 seconds max per figure. Other guests also want to be the star of the show!
Have tea with the royals
Media from travelynsaroundtheworld
Location: Within the Royal Tea and British Monarchy zone
I got to sit beside Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, and Princess Kate in an elegant royal setting within the British Monarchy zone. The regal backdrop made it feel like I was attending high tea at Buckingham Palace!
You, too, can pose with wax figures of British royalty complete with classic decor and a formal atmosphere. Don’t forget to curtsy or bow!
Pro tip: Ladies, make the high tea photo op more memorable by wearing a cute fascinator!
Bring home a memorable souvenir
Media from mtssingapore
Location: Near the museum’s exit
Before exiting the museum, pop in at the Madame Tussauds Singapore gift shop for a celebrity-themed keepsake. You can bring home an Oscar replica or other award to sustain that celebrity sparkle at home (mine rests on top of the medicine cabinet!).
There are also miniature wax hands, keychains, T-shirts, and other collectables available. Personalised souvenirs include digital photos with your favourite wax figure along with your choice of themed background.
Pro tip: Budget around S$10 to S$50 for the gift shop, with T-shirts and other exclusive merch being at the pricier spectrum.
