What to See and Do
Climb the 10-metre treehouse

The 10-metre treehouse is the ultimate climbing challenge for adventurous little kids. No worries for guardians, though, as it features sturdy climbing nets and rope bridges so children can scramble to the top safely for a bird’s eye view of the playground.
Then there’s the winding slide that spirals down from the treehouse, giving them a thrilling ride back to the ground. It’s their favourite spot to climb, conquer, and do it all over again.
Pro-tip: Avoid loose clothing that can get caught in the nets or other structures.
Crawl through giant flower pots

The giant flower pots at Westgate Wonderland are more than just oversized decorations. They’re also a fun maze of crawl spaces, climbing nets, and hidden slides.
The kids love squeezing through the tunnels and then popping out of unexpected spots before racing each other to the top. It’s not hard to imagine them as Wonderland creatures trying to make sense of the outsized garden characters and maze-like layout.
Pro-tip: To prevent crowding in the tunnels, parents and guardians must supervise their kids.
Cool off at the water play area

We love going to the water play zone on especially hot days because where else can you cool off with jets, sprays, and an oversized watering can pouring down like a surprise shower—at no charge?
The kids love running through the streams and dodging the mist from the flower-shaped sprinklers. They always end up soaked but happy, which is alright by me!
Pro-tip: Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes for after all the water area frolicking.
Get musical in the flower garden

Visiting the musical flower garden at Westgate Wonderland always turns playtime into a mini-concert for the kids and their playmates. They love stepping on the touch-responsive bluebells and tapping the musical flowers to create tunes.
Each flower plays a different sound, making it fun to mix and match melodies.
Pro-tip: Encourage the kids to create new tunes together by having them simultaneously or alternately tap or step on the flowers.
Play and glow in the dark

At night, Westgate Wonderland transforms into an even more magical place as some of the play structures light up in vibrant colours. The kids are mesmerised by the flower pots, pathways, stepping stones, and backlit water play jets coming to life after dark.
It feels like stepping into a fairy garden with the glow-in-the-dark features making everything just a bit more whimsical!
Pro-tip: At night, stick to well-lit areas and keep a closer eye on your kids, as depth perception can be tricky in the dark.
Let toddlers play safely

There’s also a toddler play area that’s perfect for little ones aged 2 to 5, with gentler slides, soft flooring, and age-appropriate climbing structures. Everything there is designed for safe play so they can explore without worry.
It’s a great spot to let toddlers climb, crawl, and slide at their own pace. I know my youngest niece loves having a space apart from the “big kids.”
Pro-tip: Strollers and prams are allowed in the toddler area but must be parked outside the play zone to keep the space safe for kids.
Frolic among giant insects

There are oversized insect structures at Westgate Wonderland that make it feel even more like a magical garden. The kids love running around the giant butterfly wings, towering mushrooms, and oversized insects that look friendly and playful.
They say that it feels like stepping into a storybook when they’re in this zone, often telling me how similar it is to Alice in Wonderland.
Pro-tip: The giant insects are mostly for visual appeal and interactive play, and surfaces can be slippery, especially after rain. Refrain from climbing taller structures for safety.
Rest in the shade

After all the climbing and running, the park’s shaded areas are a lifesaver. I love grabbing a seat while the kids take a break, rehydrate, and plan their next adventure.
There are benches and covered spots scattered around, so it’s easy to find a place to cool off. I’m happy that I can take mini breaks from being a babysitter while enjoying the colourful visuals of the place!
Pro-tip: Only bottled water or spill-proof drinks are allowed on the benches and rest areas to keep the play zones clean and non-slippery.
