The Best Supermarkets Offering Organic Food in Singapore, According to Health-Conscious Consumers
The older I get, the more conscious about my health I become. I don’t have the same endurance I had when I was in my early 20s, and I’m prone to sickness these days. That’s why I’m trying to make healthier decisions, which includes buying organic food.
Organic food simply refers to produce that is cultivated without pesticides and GM (genetic modification) technology.
Fortunately, there are many supermarkets in Singapore that sell organic food. Here are some of the ones I’ve tried and loved!
Little Farms Market
Address: 451 Joo Chiat Rd, #01-01, Katong Point
Operating Hours:
- Sunday to Thursday—7:30 am to 9:30 pm
- Friday and Saturday—7:30 am to 10 pm
Contact Number: +6567978771
Little Farms Market first opened at Valley Point Shopping Center in February 2016, and in no time, it garnered a loyal following to the point that more branches were unveiled. Currently, my go-to branch is the one on Joo Chiat Road.
This supermarket sources its products from independent suppliers and farmers not just in Singapore and Asia but also in other parts of the world, especially Australia and Europe. That’s why they have such a wide variety of products available.
I like to come here to buy snacks and plant-based food kits, but I also peruse their fruit and vegetable selection from time to time. They also have bread and pastries, and I love getting them for breakfast and afternoon tea.
Pro Tips:
- If you’re feeling hungry after shopping, this supermarket has a cafe and bistro. Be sure to grab a bite there!
- If you’re an avid shopper at this supermarket, you might be interested in signing up for the Avocado Club. This club lets you enjoy perks, such as discounts, partner benefits, and more.
SuperNature
Address: 26 Dempsey Rd
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—8 am to 8 pm
Contact Number: +6568547399
SuperNature has been around since 2001, so it’s not a surprise that it’s become one of the most popular organic supermarkets in Singapore. To be more specific, this market is popular among mothers because there’s a dedicated section for kid-friendly products.
You can find a wide variety of fresh produce here—from fruits and vegetables to meat and dairy. Personally, I like browsing and buying from their Pantry selection, which includes snacks (e.g. chocolates) and packaged organic products (e.g. condiments).
There are even specialty products for vegans and people who are sensitive to gluten and/or dairy. I’m not vegan nor do I have celiac disease, but I do like buying the gluten-free bacon and deli meats here because they’re delicious.
Pro Tip:
- Sometimes, SuperNature holds events like educational webinars. Check the events page to see if there’s something that you’d like to attend.
Brown Rice Paradise
Address: 91 Tanglin Rd, #02-02B Tanglin Place
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—9 am to 6 pm
Contact Number: +6580121659
Located in Tanglin Place, Brown Rice Paradise is the ideal store for people who are looking for dried organic foods. There’s a wide variety of grains here like wheat, oats, rye, and millet.
Aside from grains, you can find dried fruit products and nuts. I particularly stock up on preserved peaches, plums, apricots, and pears because I love using them when baking cakes and cookies.
For people with specific needs, this market has gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options.
Pro Tip:
- If you like shopping at this supermarket, you might want to join their membership program. This program gives you perks like 10% discounts on your purchases and the ability to preorder products.
Zenxin Organic Food Singapore
Address: Block 14 Wholesale Centre, #01-25
Operating Hours: Monday to Saturday—8 am to 5:30 pm
Contact Number: +6567787369
Zenxin Organic Food is actually from Malaysia, but it has gotten so popular that a branch in Singapore was opened!
The great thing about this supermarket is that they actually own the farms where they get their produce. So, they’re able to control the whole production process and ensure they’re only using organic fertilizers like manure and agricultural waste.
I really like their selection of fruits and vegetables, especially dragonfruit, passionfruit, siew pak choy, and bitter gourd. They also sell organic tea, noodles, mushrooms, herbs, and spices, which is perfect because I like to cook from time to time.
Pro Tip:
- If you can’t find the time to shop for groceries, you might be interested in purchasing any of their organic boxes. These boxes come in different themes. There’s even a mystery box!
Two Sisters Pantry
Address: 50 E Coast Rd, #01-43 Roxy Square
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—11 am to 6 pm
Contact Number: +6596558875
If you’re on the East Coast, then Two Sisters Pantry should be on your must-visit organic store. This is much smaller and more niche than the other places I’ve recommended on this list, but the selection is pretty interesting.
Most of the food products here are imported from Australia and New Zealand, so I can’t find them anywhere else. Some of the products that I like to buy here include their organic milk (which I use for my coffee) and Hansells yogurt (it’s gluten-free).
This store also has some toiletries available. I particularly like buying the shampoo and conditioner here because I can refill when I’ve consumed all I have. They’re also free from sulfates and parabens, so I don’t have to worry about getting negative side effects.
Pro Tip:
- This store is committed to being environmentally friendly, which means they’re avoiding using plastics as much as possible. For this reason, you need to bring your own bags and containers when shopping here.
The Green Girl
While the other supermarkets I recommend on this list have physical locations, The Green Girl is primarily an online store. Delivery is done on Saturdays, and if you spend more than S$180, you don’t have to pay a delivery fee.
The products offered at The Green Girl are imported all the way from Europe, especially France. Fruits and vegetables are the bestsellers, but you can also find other organic products, such as chocolates, condiments, crackers, and dried fruits.
They even have a variety of cheeses available! I was so delighted to find that they’re selling aged Mimolette. I had a hard time looking for this cheese ever since I returned from France, but now I’ve found a store that sells it in Singapore.
One thing I like about The Green Girl is that they’re really passionate about lessening their carbon footprint. That’s why everything is packed in recycled paper and their mode of transportation is by passenger flight.
Pro Tip:
- Don’t know what produce you want to purchase? You can purchase any of the organic boxes instead. These boxes are jam-packed with fruits, vegetables, and other products!
Straits Market
Address: 2 Kim Chuan Dr
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday—9 am to 5 pm
Contact Number: +6596435358
Straits Market is best known for their farm-to-table meat cuts that are free of hormones and antibiotics. They’re also noted for their selection of seafood, which includes barramundi, red snapper, salmon, and grouper.
My favorite things to purchase here are the cold cuts, especially beef pastrami, turkey smoked ham, and Italian mortadella. I also like to check their cheeses. It seems like feta cheese is always in stock here.
Sometimes, I buy a bottle of wine here as well. They have several well-known brands, such as Chateau La Vernede Rouge, Domaine Chasselay, and Pierre Boever.
Pro Tips:
- If you don’t know what to cook, the store’s website has some recipes that you might want to try.
- If you’re shopping online, you’ll get free delivery if your order’s total is more than S$150.
Ryan’s Grocery
Address: 1 Kim Seng Promenade, #B1-144/145
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—9 am to 10 pm
Contact Number: +6567673393
Ryan’s Grocery is a boutique grocer and butcher that many of my friends who are on specific diets love. The variety of products is extensive, and there’s always something for someone no matter what kind of diet you’re on.
Personally, I come here for the deli like salami, bacon, and ham. I also like to get ready meals for whenever I’m busy and have no time to cook. So far, I’ve really enjoyed the beef pies and spinach and ricotta rolls.
Since I have a sweet tooth, I check their bakery section as well. I stock up on biscuits, cookies, and even cakes.
Pro Tips:
- If you have no idea what to cook for dinner, try out any of the recipes available on the website.
- Sometimes, the supermarket hosts fun events like a party on Singapore National Day and tasting parties. Check their event page to see if there’s something that will catch your eye.
Nature’s Superfoods
Address: 12 Arumugam Rd, #03-09/10 LTC Building B
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday—9 am to 5:30 pm
Contact Number: +6568415476
As the name suggests, Nature’s Superfoods is all about superfoods, which is why most of the products sold here are grains and seeds. You can also find breakfast cereals, plant-based protein powders, smoothie powders, and even more in this store!
I like getting the superfood bites because they’re delicious and rich in nutrients, antioxidants, and fiber. I recommend the organic dried Incan golden berries, sun-dried apricots, and dried Tibetan Goji berries.
When I don’t know what to order, I usually just get a superfood gift set, which is packed with all kinds of products. Opening a box feels like opening a gift during Christmas!
Pro Tip:
- The store often holds sales on its website. Check their sale page to see if there’s something you like that’s currently discounted!

Scoop Wholefoods is a Singaporean-Australian project that’s a paradise for organic food lovers. The store boasts over 9,000 square feet of space, with 2,000 products in stock!
When it comes to food, I stock up on broth powders (which I use when cooking soups and noodles). I also purchase different kinds of granola (I recommend the hibiscus blueberry and organic cocoa flavors) and oat milk for breakfast.
This store also sells beauty products and homeware!
